About

After Cello studies, Dimitri Soudoplatoff graduated from the CNSMDP (Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse de Paris) with a Master in Composition and from the HEM (Haute Ecole de Musique, Geneva) in Conducting. He also studied and was awarded multiple first prizes in Composition, Orchestration and Movie Scoring with composers Thierry Escaich, Guillaume Connesson, Fabien Waksman and Marie-Jeanne Serero. As a conductor, taught by Larry Rachleff, Julien Leroy, Sasha Mäkila, Jean-Sebastien Bereau and Georges Pehlivanian, he has conducted several professional orchestras including « l’Orchestre National de Lorraine », « l’Orchestre des Lauréats du CNSMDP » the Pärnu City Orchestra, the Bulgarian New Symphony orchestra, and Choirs such as the « Jeune Chœur de Paris » and the « Maîtrise de Notre-Dame ». He has also collaborated with Jazz and World music musicians including Petru Guelfucci, Fred Pallem and Melody Gardot and frequently works with ensembles such as The Swiss Cellist, Entresilence, Miroirs Etendus.
